Twentynine Palms Retail Market Report – This report was prepared to help Twentynine
Palms, a remote military town, attract retailers and restaurants. By using economic
analysis and data from Esri’s Tapestry Segmentation, I was able to build a business

Inland Empire Tourism Market Analysis and Marketing Strategy – This comprehensive
document is the blueprint for the Inland Empire Tourism Council. The analyses of
the tourism assets and potential visitors are useful for many tourism-
Sample Retail Evaluation – This is an example of something we used at ICSC. Multiple socioeconomic variables can be loaded and selected to conduct a basic market selection, and then the available sites in identified markets can be shown.
2010 NAIOP Virtual Bus Tour – I created this map to showcase the various industrial and office properties presented at the 2010 Inland Empire NAIOP Virtual Bus Tour. The videos are produced by another contractor to NAIOP. I made the map so those videos are embedded in the map, and potential customers can review property information, use Street View to check out the neighborhood, and contact the brokers all from their computer screen. In fact, this could have been combined with socioeconomic data so the potential customers can do a preliminary site search on their computer. (To load the median household income data, put this in the Google Maps search box: http://ideasolutions.biz/maps/Sample_Retail_Evaluation.KMZ and activate both layers.)
Property information system – This is a system I created so site selectors and developers can find suitable properties based on their own criteria, and then see property information on their computer. I initially created this to help solar developers identify potential parcels, but the same process can work for all types of developers. Additional data layers can be created depending on the needs of the clients. Developers told me this system saves them weeks of work. The data are processed in ArcGIS and then presented in ArcGIS Explorer, a free software. If the area covered is relatively small, the same data can be created for Google Earth or even Google Maps. (The system was created for San Bernardino County, CA, and I had 17 of the 24 cities’ zoning data mapped out, along with all the unincorporated areas.)
